Hello everyone.

I think i fried my GPU trying to overclock my computer.

Whenever i install the newest AMD drivers my graphics driver keeps crashing over and over when i boot my PC. (i cant do anything outside safe-mode)

Ive reinstalled windows, but no change. As soon as AMD drivers go on there it breaks.

I see some random symbols flickering after the motherboard bootscreen before windows loads.

I think i have to buy a new GPU but Im not sure what to get. Im looking to spend as little money as possible since my rig is pretty old and don't want my GPU to outperform all the other parts and we wasted potential. The reason i wanted to overclock was that my computer had trouble multiboxing 4 instances of Diablo 3. and was running them with 25 fps :(

This is my build:

GPU (probably broken): Club 3D Radeon PCI-E HD690 4GB - bought some new cooler for it long ago.

PSU: 850W Corsair AX850W

CPU: Core i5-2500K/3.3GHz 6MB LGA15

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Dual CDR3 16GB Kit, 160MHz, 4x4GB, LP

Motherboard: 1155 ASRock Z68 Extreme3

gaming at 2560x1440 with a secondary smaller monitor.

Can anybody help me selecting a GPU that will give me most value for my money?

Special offers in the US wont apply, since I'm from Denmark. :)

Thanks

Edit: ive been looking at Sapphire RADEON R9 280 Dual-X which is somehow 35$ cheaper than other R9 280

This Sapphire looks like a solid card.

BTW. what is the local price of 280x, 290 & 290x

Also, is your 690 working fine before installing the latest AMD driver ? If so, you can try older versions to see if any of them is stable..

If you weren't overclocking anything on your graphics card then I doubt that your card is the problem
