Broken GF4 Bios? Maybe? Help?

Ok...to make a long story short my gf4 ti4200 is broken, or at least the bios is. I was carrying it in, and it got water in it. I dried everything off to be sure, then I plugged the AC cord in and noticed an odd smell in my computer...a potentially fatal computer odor. When it booted up, the screen was all garbled and I couldnt barely make out the Xp loading screen. Is my bios fried? Can I blind flash it? I looked on google and got nothing, but I've done it with ATi cards before. Any ideas?

Not sure if your card is fried - I'd either let it dry out longer or test it in another computer if you are able to.

If it is just a problem with the bios (seems unlikely) you would need to find another bios on the internet appropriate for your card. Then search for a utility called "nvflash." For a ti4200, you would need rev. 4.x of this program - the latest is 4.41 I believe.

And not directly related to your problem, another useful utility for nvidia cards is X-BIOS. It can be used to back up your current bios and edit it if you wish.
