Broken Geforce?

Hmm. What happened was really weird.
I was running 3DMark03 etc. and overclocked my gf6800 as usual.
Everything was ok. Then after that I set clockspeeds to normal.
I watched a movie and went out.
The next time I started my computer, my Gf was screwed somehow.
After logging into windows, weird looking, dizzy vertical lines appear in the screen.
After a while, there are plenty of them and my computer freezes or reboots it's self.
I've tried removing the card, reinstalling drivers and everything. Still the same problem occurs.
So, can it be, that something has brokened in my gf and it's non-usable now?
I've overclocked the gf many times with no problems. And no problems occured while 3dmark etc. Or is there a problem somewhere else?
I'm currently using my Voodoo 3 to operata my computer and I'm not facing any kind of problems.

Are you by chance using a DVI to VGA adapter? I have wavy or wobbly video at certain resolutions I didn't used to have with my old system and I'm trying to determine if it could be the DVI -> VGA adapter plug causing it. Although if it is I don't know what to do other than buy a different monitor because my graphics card doesn't have a VGA output, only dual DVI.

Overheating is a possibility, but the fan seems to work allright, though the card feels pretty hot just after booting. Core temperature is +60c according to nvidia display properties. Once my cousin tried to replace his voodoo 3 heatsink and somehow it went wrong, and there were same kind of dizzy vertical lines in the sreen too.
My bro has a computer too, maybe I'll have to try the gf there and then see what it says.
Club 3d has made Radeons for a while, and now they've started to do Gf also.

id say take it and test it on your friends computer, that way you know if its the card or your machine, and can go from there.

did you notice any artifacts during the test? was this a tested and stable overclock, or did you try to take it higher this time?

Hmm there was some blinking during 3dmark since I had enabled the extra pixel unit making this bitch work 16x1.6 instead of normal 12x.16 which I've been using for months.
Core 400/mem 870mhz, that I've been using all the time and had no problems.
Possibility: Enabling the extra pixel unit has caused damage?
I'll go and give and try with another comp now.

Tried with another comp, with the same results. So it's about the card somehow.
Maybe I just should go to the store and say this one ain't working like it should, give me a new one
