So yesterday my 8800 GTS was displaying it's oh so infamous artifacts, and I was planning to get a new card anyways. So I bought a 460 GTX today, after my 8800 died earlier. I'm not technically illiterate, but I am not too literate, and after setting everything up correctly, it would sit on the MOBO screen, with no keyboard control etc.

Here is my current specs, I can't do anything because yeah it's just sitting there.

Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory:
4096MB RAM
Hard Drive:
1 TB Total
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 460 GTX
Monitor:
21" LCD
Sound Card:
Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)
Speakers/Headphones:
Ozaki Mutimedia computer / Personal theatre speakers
Keyboard:
Standard PS/2 Keyboard
Mouse:
USB Root Hub
Operating System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard:
ASUS M2N32 WS Professional Motherboard
Computer Case:
Antec 900 Gaming Case

I can't provide anymore then this. On a random basis, I can get past the mobo screen, and go all the way up to loading windows 7, then it bsod's and I can't even tell you what it says since the screen turns off and my computer reboots.

If this is in the wrong section please link me to the right one ^.^;

Thanks for the help

To me, this looks like a power issue, but mum thinks it's a combination of power and my main hardrive dieing.

HDD dying as well seems a little cruel though. What is your power supply though? I'm thinking it's power as well.

Power is suspect. Those GPUs require a separate power feed. That comes directly from the PSU. Anyway to try a different PSU?
