Broken card, short circuit?

My case was open and I had some cables hanging off the side. I pulled one of them by accident and one of my LED lights fell onto my graphics card, an EVGA 9800 GTX, and my computer turned off without warning.

I'll post a picture of the LED in a second, it's three LEDs pointing in three directions and are held in place by some extremely light and cheap metal that I thought was plastic.

Whenever I try turning it on now, the fan doesn't spin and twos red light shine, one next to the DVI sockets/plugs and one inside the card, around where the SLI bridge goes.

Here's a picture:

I'm assuming the LED caused a short circuit, but I'm not sure.

I've heard that a red light means that the card isn't getting enough power, is this true?

I've plugged in both 6-pin connectors and the card does the same thing, regardless if I have them both plugged in or not. I've also tried it at a friends computer, but he only had one 6-pin connector.
