Broken Capacitor on Video Card

JRS4224

Senior member
While installing my video card I accidentally slipped and snapped off one of the capacitors. I was just wondering what my options are for getting it repaired or still using it without the capacitor. Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Don't run it without the cap, it might work but who knows what weird problems it will cause. You can solder it back but it has to be in the right polarity.

Thanks for your responses.

I would solder it back but one of the prongs snapped off at the base of the capacitor. If I go and get a matching capacitor and solder it on it should work fine, right?
