Broke my TV Tuner card, can it be fixed?

I had the cable runnin across the living room floor temporarily to test a few things. Well, it tripped me up :) and the cable was ripped off the Tuner card. It pulled this piece off also. I can still use it, just push that piece back on, but it broke most of the one end off that secures it on the card. So if the cable is pulled on the slightest bit it'll pull from the card.

Is it possible to buy that piece? I e-mailed Leadtek but who knows if they'll get back to me...

If you pull it out does the piece look like this? null F-Pin Jack (Female) / RCA Plug (Male) Adapter If it does then just get one of those from any electronics store. RadioShack may have them. Shouldn't be more than a buck. I used to get stuff from frigid north in anchorage when I lived there. Maybe you have an electronics store near you.

That's close enough for me, almost exact part actually, thanks. Will check the Shack :)

I have that same problem, that jack is just not in there right. It always wants to fall out.. So i just kinda put the cable in and never touch it.

why are there 2 jacks on there? my ati tv wonder pci only has 1.

it doesn't look so bad though. you should post a pic of your actual card so we can really see what's going on.

if it were me i would just try to solder that sucker back on there.

i would try a combination of superglue and soldering...

looks like a pain tho...that's a bit of a shame...you would almost have to contact the manufacturer and see if they can replace the part/repair the card for you. try soldering tho, it can't hurt. good luck.
