Broke my HDD?

I was trying to get my 160GB HDD to reconize all 160GB and I think I broke a pin on the IDE interface. Is there anyway I can do without this or will I have to buy a new HDD? There is the same one for $40 at BestBuy so I'm not worried about that. I have no way of soldering it back on either.

If I buy a new one can I still Install and Register Windows XP from the same disc I installed on the other HDD?
 
There's one missing pin on all IDE connectors. Pin 20, in the middle. How many pins are missing?

If you did, somehow, break a pin, it's possible you lucked out and broke a ground pin.
Pins 2, 19, 22, 24, 26, 30, and 40 are ground pins. I suspect that a single missing ground pin wouldn't screw up everything.
