Not a bad price. I was just about to order the card directly from Powercolor, but they wanted $105.00 + 15.00 shipping. Sure glad I didn't pre-order from PC last week when they announced their 9000 PCI would become available today (Friday). Also, this is my first time ordering from Newegg, based on the glowing reviews from all you AT'ers:). Right away I like them, as they have already saved me $20.

EDIT: Just saw the 128mb PCI MX440 on Pricewatch for $99 + $2.95 shipping! Hmmm, looks like the PCI card market is getting a little more interesting.

The 9000 is going in the system in my rig profile. Whichever card I like best (MX440 or 9000) I'll keep and the other will probably end up in the FS/FT forum.

Frustrated, from what I understand, the 9000 should be a major jump in performance over the GeF2MX. The GeF2MX is supposed to be much slower than a the GeF4MX420, which in turn is slower than the GeF4MX440. The 9000 should closely match the 440 in performance, but being DirectX8.1 card compared to the GeF4MX cards being DX7 cards, it will probably look better in graphics rendering. If you search for other threads under "9000 PCI" (there have been a few), you will find some responses from AndAustin, who basically spelled out the performance differences between all these cards. They are pretty informative.

Well, you will be CPU limited at that point. What do we do when we are CPU limited? Pump up the FSAA until we aren't anymore. And with the faster card(the Radeon), you can pump up the FSAA moreso than the MX.
