After trying out various compacts and micro 4/3 cameras, I've found all of them unsatisfactory in one way or another. The LX3 had a nice lens and decent high ISO, but was too big to pocket. The PL1 had even better high ISO but was let down by the bulk (esp. with a zoom lens attached). It also had quite a loud shutter sound compared to most compacts, so there was no sound advantage compared to a full-fledged DSLR. Every other compact I've tried sucked in the image quality department, so in the end I finally went and got an S90. Luckily, it was on sale and I only ended up paying $255 shipped through Canon's Direct Store.
