BrodBand setup question.

Hello,

This is the first time I do this and I am a little confused.

Which MAC address is needed by the ISP?
a) The one listed on the cable modem
b) The one listed in the router configuration page as "Internet MAC address" ?

The setup that I have is kept to a minimum.
(The router is connected to the cable modem, but there is only one main PC hooked up).

Many Thanks

It depends on the ISP.

My ISP wants the MAC address of my main computer Network Card.

Thanks, I got it figured out.

The ISP (Comcast) wanted the cable modem MAC address and serial number.
Everything worked fine after that.

Was able to connect the router without a problem. (initially I thought the Router's internet MAC address would overide the modem's and it would make the connection not to work, but this is not the case.)

Many thanks for the replies.
