WWF or WWE has gone so far downhill I can see that company calling it quits eventually. It's no longer selling out all of its events and it's losing fans quickly. It's the same old crap day in day out. It's not like the old days when the big stars would only meet up in the main events. People would get all excited because it was built up nicely. Now, the same guys fight each other every day so there's nothing to look forward to anymore. I haven't watched in 2 years.

But if Brock does go to the NFL he'll definitely be a feared opponent.

Just when I start to like him....

This should be interesting. Goldberg is leaving...Lesnar is leaving. I was hoping for a "Montreal screwjob" in favor of Lesnar, but I don't see it happening now.

its not the wwe anymore anyway. its the HHH show

It has gotten pretty bad lately. but darn i was really looking foreword to a good match of lesner and angle. to bad Lesner only does power moves he has a great amature background.

Though as a linebacker he MIGHT do great. It wouldnt suprise me if he was. He is huge, fast and powerfull.

Yep. HHH's ego is so out of control that he thinks he shouldn't have to "job" to Chris Benoit. That's why they turned it into a Triple threat match.

The problem with the WWE is that the writers suck. They need to hire some hardcore wrasslin' fans (like me) to come up with storylines and matches.

Yep. Orton is one of the more annoying characters right now.

Randy Orton is sooo overrated and brought-up the ranks too fast. His character hasn't been fleshed-out enough for anybody to give a damn.

Wrasslin' must be hurting if they bring old-timer stars with injures back to the fore like Steve Austin, Mankind (or whatever he's called nowadays), & Shawn Michaels. The Rock also had to be brought back to spruce things up for Wrestlemania.

Cable ratings don't show it, however....it's still consistently TOPS despite switching channels (i.e. USA-->TNN-->Spike TV).

Wrestling will always rule ratings--the ultimate barometer. McMahon is a survivor and savvy. He'll tweak the programming if necessary............ HHH, for one, shouldn't always rule just b/c he's part of McMahon's family (thur marriage to his daughter, correct?).

Orton has done a 180 since he's gotten in the WWE. At least on Smackdown he was this boring nothing, like John Cena was. Since they've gotten their respective roles they've taken off big. But I agree on HHH - screw him. He wouldn't job to Booker T last year, now he's not gonna job to Benoit. It's also part HBK's fault that he's in the Triple Threat - just huge egos. I'm looking foward to Batista though - hopefully he'll get the push he needs. Since Lesnar is gone now, I think he might jump over to SD and feud with UT once UT goes through everyone on the SD roster.

I'm not a big wrestling fan, however I did watch an episode of RAW last week. I noticed that Triple H is looking flabby and out of shape compared to his former look. I also saw that the Rock came back to present an award. It was obvious that the Rock had all his teeth capped, as they were ultra bright white. I also recently found out that a former wrestler from back in the early 90's named Hercules Hernandez had died of a heart attack. I remember he was this very large muscular fellow with curly hair and a wreath of steel chains draped over his shoulders.

wrestling is not the same. Hulkamania isnt running wild, the Ultimate Warrior isnt running around crazy, Brett the Hitman is not getting technical on anyones ass, and the matches are not the same in general. Back in the day a three on three match was amazing to watch and much anticipated, along with Royal Rumble, or a ladder match. Now like someone mentioned earlier the major superstars fight in these matches everyday, the matches take 10 mins and thats that. It doesnt keep you on the edge of your seat anymore, I havent watched it in a couple years.

Razor Ramon, Diesal, Shawn Michaels, Flair, Macho Man, etc.

Its just not the same

Death of Wrestling = Vince screwed Bret. Stone Cold Steve Austin. WWF using "shock value" to get viewers. I'd watch Wrestling again if A) They did away with Womens wrestling. B) Bret Hart came back. C) Stone Cold was never to be seen again and D) More wrestling than talking on the mic.

What's so bad about Stone Cold? He's great on the mic and he used to be really great in the ring. Crowd favorite. Bret Hart's condition is preventing him from returning because supposedly he could become paralyzed if he wrestles again. (There were rumors that Angle was going to wrestle him amateur style in WMXX) I agree about the talking part though - just too much damn talking.

Stone Cold, he is great at the mic. Thats what killed it. All he does is talk. He can't wrestle. His "bad guy" attitude made the bad guy the good guy, and the good guy the bad guy. There is no Good vs Bad anymore, its just "IM A HOODLUM I DONT RESPECT AUTHORITY IM A BAD GUY CHEER FOR ME" vs "IM A HOODLUM I DONT RESPECT AUTHORITY BUT I DONT LIKE YOU SO IM THE REAL BAD GUY". Know what I mean? Also, the whole "wrestlers vs the administration (bischoff, mcmahon, etc etc) is so old and worn out, and a bad concept. Thats what turned me off. I know Bret can't wrestle anymore, but he could come back in some shape or form. There are also very few wrestlers today that actually have skills. Kurt Angle is one of them, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, RVD...can't think of anymore off the top of my head. Haven't watched in a long time. Now all you get is punch, kick, chop, kick, punch, suplex, pin.

I don't agree with either of you in that you can call this crap wrestling. This isn't wrestling, this is dogshit fake soap opera drama.
