Hows the cam angle? i'd also like more plants inside(no too much) and around the tank.

Think id get a following? I'd also have music playing 24/7.(from the computer soundcard, not the mic)

Yes,

But only if you cut your penis off and put it in too.

That's a rock fact.

Plants alone arn't really worth streaming, maybe just have a system that takes a picture and updates it every 5 minutes or something. Now add some critters in there and it might possibly get some views.

I've thought of doing a north sky stream, basically have a tethered DSLR that takes long exposure (or just set to auto) pictures of the north sky and then streams it. It would basically be a streaming slide show. Occasionally you'd get northern lights and stuff show up. If ever I decide to put up a ham radio tower I might experiment with that. Need a mirrorless DSLR for that though otherwise you'll kill the shutter/mirror. Mirrorless DSLRs arn't cheap.

A web cam for an aquarium could be fun too. They have aquarium TV channels, but it just keeps repeating the same thing, an actual web cam showing an actual aquarium could be fun. The trick with anything like this is to make it reliable though. So many people setup streams like this and half the time they're down. Heck even NASA can't keep the ISS stream going 24/7, they need to install more Earth repeater stations. :p I imagine this is not something they wanted to spend much money on, it's just a fun thing to have.

When the internet was but wee lad there was a fellow in an office park in NJ who set up a camera pointing out to a farmer's field and streamed it live. An occasional cow would walk by. As far as I know it was a relatively new thing at least to many I knew and it became the legendary Cow Cam.

And your picture is to dark all I see is some water.

BTW I forgot I had it up and was just listening to the music :) it's nice.

It's in it's infancy, more plants and a few animals are coming(amphibians) want them to get comfortable with their home firstly
A semi aerial cam view is bad? We'll see. I think you can clearly see the plant at the bottom

may add a better light

I turned off auto sleep on my pc. It essentially doesn't ever turn off at all unless i force shutdown. So it should be pretty easy to keep going 24/7. Lowered the resolution and framerate of the stream a bit so i can game while broadcasting. This is giving reasons to plan to upgrade to better pc. With a broacaster liscense, i can broadcast multiple streams, And usb device limit is 127 on a normal pc, and webcams aren't entirely expensive
