Broadband via Satellite - Possible?

Traveling to the other side of the state for two months. Seeking if it's possible for my wireless notebook to connect to the satellite or whatever means to get fast broadband? I'll be both working, and studying courses online (sorry I don't use dial-up).

I'm trying to avoid having to buy extra DSL, new line, etc. Hope to connect broadband 24/7. I've heard of going to Starbucks, Kinkos and all... I probably don't have time to even go there. I just want to turn on my notebook and connect damn right away.

Give me some advice. What are way to go broadband without DSL modem?

satalight is not worth it 700 bucks worth of equipment and a contrct for performance not that much better than dialup.

Anybody experienced with T-Mobile's hotspot found in Starbucks, Kinkos, etc? Good... bad?

Oh yeah... I've been an SBC cable modem subscriber for 2 years now... I don't plan on taking that away since my family will be using but I just don't want to spend too much while I'm out.

sprint and some of the other wireless phone companies are now offering wireless internet. it is a little pricey (sprint was doing a special $80/month unlimited) but is a little faster than dial up and has the wireless flexibility

i have satellite at home, it is better than dial up . i see negative comments all the time, but i like it vs. dialup
