I remember a company in Dallas was working on the same thing. There were going to do a test from Colorado to some where in Europe. Never did hear about anything afterwards...
Been tried in Europe but they found better methods and in the US I believe Missouri has it going on...any way Posted on Wed, Apr. 09, 2003 is not as new as things I've read...Thanks though 😉
Media Fusion, is what the company was called. The link in the article leads to a "dead link", really some search engine.... but this was back in May 1999.
Actually, I think that's been posted here before, but it is an interesting technology, which I hope takes off in rural areas (and especially the one that I live in). Always-on, reliable, ISDN-speed "broadband" for a very affordable $30/month would be great for my needs (I'm not into the p2p stuff, so I don't "need" OC-192 speeds or anything).
