broadband problem

I have just connected to BT broadband and when I tested it downstairs it was FAST but my PC is upstairs. Is there a high speed extension lead I can get (15-20m)?

Could be that with a "little" more info. some one can help you.

At the moment we know that your house has at least two floors, and you have atleast two computers.

Sounds like the internet is downstairs and the computer is upstairs. That is indeed a problem.

It's called CAT5 cable. 😀 You need to string a wire it appears, or you could consider wireless.

Depending on the setup, you could just move the modem upstairs.

yeah, how did you 'test' it downstairs (what did you run from your router/modem to your PC)?

Obviously you need to get a high speed extension lead about 15 or 20 meters should do.
