Broadband connection help!

I've got DSL routed on 3 computers in my house... Ever since about a month ago when we got a new router my computer has been stalling/freezing on downloads and connections. For example, when I download anything off of IE or Crazy Browser the connection will freeze in about 2 minutes and I have to keep restarting it over and over for it to finish. And on AIM it just keeps kicking me off and resigning me on over and over. Anyone know what could be wrong?! This is extremely annoying!!

Temporarily take the router out of the loop and test with a computer directly connected. Does the problem go away? If so, you found your problem. Check also for viruses/spyware.
