I know some good places to buy here in US, but what are some good places to buy airfares for flying from UK?

If you traveling around Europe, easyjet can be a great place to start. If you book it early enough, rates are dirt cheap. However, they go up as the date approaches. I bought some 2 weeks before a buddy and saved $40 or $50 last year. They fly limited routes, so I'm not sure they will be able to help you.

When I went to Europe last year, I booked a flight from London to Belgium for somewhere around $15 USD. Both carriers are very good values, just make sure you buy your tickets early.

Depends where you are looking to fly to but as Haircut said, RyanAir and EasyJet are the cheapest.

I've found my local little independant travel shop cuts a good deal too.

Off topic...Hello Haircut...remember me?? :D
