Let's spend the time it takes to get the child out of the child seat, bring it infront, then put it in incredible danger by driving with it on our lap. Yeah, very protective.

Seriously, was the paparazzi known for jumping into speeding SUV's with locked doors?

Someone get me my decoder ring, stat. 😕

I'm pretty sure that if you add the "ing" to the end of the word speed, it makes perfect sense. Do you also have trouble with 8-piece jigsaw puzzles?

I heard about this ... and the full story goes... the kid was in her baby seat when Britney stopped at a coffee shop... the bodyguard went to get some coffee... Britney took the kid out of the carseat... and paparazzi came along and started getting aggressive... bodyguard came back... they both rushed off... obviously with the kid still in her arms...

Take that for what it's worth. I really don't think she drives around like that all the time like people are led to believe.

Does she look scared in any of those pictures????????
when you're driving away from people you don't want to be around, do you have a frightened look on your face ? What is this ? A comic ?

In her statement, Spears described the moments when the photographs were taken as a "horrifying, frightful encounter".

"Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger," she said.

"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media.

Again, I will ask, does she look scared in any of those pictures?????????????????????

Come on guys, give her some credit.

What the images fail to show is that she's actually changing the baby while driving. Multitasking FTW!

Fearful for harm to your baby. How does one express that with a facial expression ?

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) are to investigate Britney Spears after pictures were taken of her driving through Malibu, California with her baby son on her lap. Spears claimed she took off without putting her son Sean Preston in his rear babyseat because she was suddenly hounded by paparazzi during a coffee break. But the DCFS and California police officials are taking a very dim view of Spears' decision to drive off with her baby on her lap. It is illegal under California law to drive with a child as young as Sean Preston not restrained in a recognized baby seat, and Britney can expect a $270 fine at the very least. Malibu Deputy Sheriff Mark Winn visited Spears at home yesterday afternoon, to set the wheels in motion for the DCFS investigation. Dcfs officials are refusing to comment about the investigation.

How so? Most people couldn't care less and if they do right now they won't remember it in a week.

Hopefully DCFS does something more than just fine her.

But what else can they do? She's not abusing the kid. If she's too stupid to properly seat her child and something were to happen, that's falls on her head.

Yeah, because I would hate for them to go after parents that beat, starve, rape ,and kill their kids before going after someone not having their baby in a seat.
