Are British actors better, on average, than American actors? Or is it just the accent? :)

Some Brits:

Kenneth Branagh
Minnie Driver
Ralph Fiennes
Hugh Grant
Alec Guinness (obi-wan)
Anthony Hopkins
Ben Kingsley
Ewan McGregor
Ian McKellan
Liam Neeson
Laurence Olivier
Alan Rickman
Tim Roth
Maggie Smith
Picard
Emma Thompson
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Richard Harris
Sean Connery
Jeremy Irons

some Americans:

Kevin Spacey
Meryl Streep
Tom Hanks
Tom Cruise
Denzel Washington
Al Pacino
Nicolas Cage
Jack Nicholson
Robert Duvall
Robert DeNiro
Paul Newman
Dustin Hoffman
Julia Roberts
Halle Berry
Hilary Swank
Gwyneth Paltrow
Kathy Bates
Jody Foster

Anthony Hopkins rules!
The Americans only have their stupid method-acting actors who are terrible!
If I see another Al Pacino movie where he does the same things all over again I'm going to puke!

brits are better for stuff like starwars and lord of the rings and harry potter where there's no character to get into; robert deniro is better when method acting can work.

when you put americans in starwars they can't act, and if you put brits in heat they couldn't pull it off.

or maybe i'm wrong.
