LOL, I usually copy/paste from the article but I watered it down a bit.

It does have BA and bag in it though and the search is magnificently broken which is always useful.

Even for two week vacations I've never needed more than one 50 pound bag per person.

If Indian Airlines did this they would be bankrupt. I hate brining my family to and from the airport. I think the max is 60kgs between both the bags and it is never an ounce less :|

This isn't about men obviously, its your wife/girlfriend that would need to have two bags. Assuming you have one. No way in hell this would go over well with women in America, where as the men wouldn't even notice

Yeah, I read that on their website before they actually implemented it. I already have tickets with BA for a trip in May. Luckily, we don't plan on taking more than 1 checked bag passenger. If you REALLY don't want to pay extra just for more bags, you can always pay extra for an upgrade to their economy plus which also gives you more leg room along with a 2 bag allowance and probably some other stuff.
