I did a search for Britches and found nothing, which surprises me because they are going out of business and pretty much everything in the store is on sale for $10 and less. I was in their outlet store in Hagerstown, Maryland yesterday and found their khakis on sale for $6.99 a piece (stacks and stacks of pants on the shelves), and all sorts of long and short sleeve shirts on sale for $5.99 (going fast). If I remember correctly the most expensive item in the store was $12.

I can't find a web site for them to confirm whether or not they are closing all stores, but this particular outlet was most definitely going out of business. Even the fixtures had price tags on them.

strange, none of the britches stores in the northern virginia area have any notice about going out of business and i haven't seen anything in the business section about it (they are locally based). you sure it's not just that outlet location that's closing?

I think britches' prices are always very low compared to other stores. i got solid tees for 5 bucks a piece or was it cheaper... i dont' remember the biggest sale was 2 years ago when they had their sidewalk sale. I got nice button shirts, khakis for .01 cents each after buying one thing regular price.. i got a shirt for 5 bucks.. so.. total i spent like 10.02 because i got a couple of other things.

Same here - all the stores in the Richmond, VA area went out a lont time ago. At one mall they opened for the holiday season to sell their "going out of business" stuff and then left after XMAS.

All their stores have been out of Houston, TX for a while as well. I just don't think they changed with the times fast enough when new styles came out :/ I bought a couple t-shirts there, not much else.

Forgot the Georgetown and Tysons Corner locations, and the Montgomery Mall location is in Bethesda, MD. :)

But yah, I've seen this coming for some time. Britches of Georgetowne was an awesome store, bought all my suits, shirts and ties there (when they had trade-in sales). Anyways, I've been getting flyers and invitations from them the last 4 or 5 years about special "guest" nights where they would allow you to take 50% off any suit and 30% off your entire purchase.

Those flyers started coming in with greater frequency the last 2 or 3 months, and I finally went in b/c they had a 50% off everything, lowest price, everything must go flyer. Ended up walking out with 2 suits at $99 each (both of which I wanted earlier but cost $595 and $645), some nice Super 140's dress shirts, and 3 Ermenegildo Zegna ties ($130 anywhere) for @ $315. I couldn't believe they were basically "giving" this stuff away, so I flat out asked the guy if they were going outta business. He pretty much said "I think so, but we're not 100% sure."

Business casual killed this once great store :( Get it while it lasts, I told a few friends about it and they said the stores looked like someone robbed them :Q
