Just happened to stumble upon this performance review with the new Brink game.

I think the results speak for themselves.

The gtx 590 ti is beating up on a 6990. (crossfire seems to be broken)
gtx560 beating the 6950 2gb
Even the old, power hungry, hot ass gtx480 is beating up on the 6970.
gtx460 1gb is woopen the 6850.

http://www.techspot.com/review/397-brink-performance/page2.html

if I were to guess ,I would bet the gtx560 non ti would be neck and neck with the 6950.

So much for the monthly AMD driver releases with numerous hot fixes.
I'm glad I switched back to Nvidia.

Before the mods decide to lock this "NEW" thread, tell me whats the difference between this thread and this Dragons age 2 thread?
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2148492

The thread went on and on for 10 pages, no lock there.?

Just in case you guys missed my locked for no reason thread.

What part of "Stop trolling" is so hard to understand?

The request is no longer voluntary.

And to answer your question, the DA2 thread wasn't a troll, and DA2 was infact not working correctly with a number of NVIDIA cards. Your thread is a troll, and Brink is not broken - there just isn't a CF profile for it yet. If you can't see the difference, take a look in the mirror and you'll see the reason why.

CF isn't working for a such a fairly high profile game this month, but SLI works on the 590.

Still, with the 3rd patch, single GPU cards from AMD perform much better as per that Techspot review. So your comments are more related to the Gamegpu.ru review which didn't test the cards with the 3rd game patch. This situation and Dragon Age 2 only highlights the fact that both NV and AMD continue to have issues with CF/SLI with the latest games until gaming profiles are released - this is one major disadvantage of multiple cards.

There are plenty of multi-gpu driver issues from both sides:

1) On the AMD side, there are major issues in STALKER:COP (6990 + 6970 has awful scaling).
2) Both camps have horrible scaling in Starcraft 2 beyond 2 cards.
3) NV's Tri-SLI GTX570s are the worst it appears. They are underperforming significantly in Shogun 2, in Just Cause 2, Dragon Age 2 and Lost Planet 2, as well as in BF:BC2 and Metro 2033

Didn't this thread get locked last night, for trolling?

Maybe the difference is, the OP has the hardware, and the OP bought the game and was actually saying about the experience they had? I don't know.

AMD cards are running the game just fine in DX11 with good framerates, a 5850 is outperforming a GTX 580 in DX11 in this game!

Oh I must have forgotten, its ok for AMD fanboys to have a 10+ page thread but in the dictatorship Anand forums locks any thread against AMD drivers.

Here we go again....same shit but a month later, who else is gonna call out this bullcrap?
Bias modding at its best.

I'm sure I'll get a vacation for calling out but WHATS RIGHT IS RIGHT!

Well that was the point of my other thread but the mods seem to think that its not important unless Nvidia drivers are to blame. How much evidence could one possibly compile?

Wasn't Dragon Age 2 unplayable really by most peoples standards? Is Brink similar in that without crossfire it's unplayable?

Yea thats a mod challenge and a good one at that.

You need to calm down, it's just a graphics card. Perhaps you shouldn't have gone AMD, having such bad experience yourself. Why assume that everyone whom defends AMD, owns AMD's graphics are shills and fanbois?

I honestly have had nothing but nVIDIA since 2001, this is my first AMD.. thus far no problems, but I'm happy to defend AMD or nVIDIA. I would certainly buy either card. I was cash constrained last time around and wanted something power efficient.

Dude it has nothing to do with AMD vs Nvidia.
WHy the hell was my thread locked and not the other AMD one I posted?

In all reality it has to do with informing the community, but it seems its only ok when its a nvidia problem.
I JUST WANTED TO POINT THAT OUT FOR THE 10TH TIME.

Because you tend to get emotional and inflammatory? IDK, just a guess.

I played Brink... its not all that entertaining... so no real loss. It did run just fine on a OC'ed 460 though.

Okay, I have said I don't know, just what I think it might be. Perhaps it's just your wording.

I understand you believe you're doing a service to the community about reporting something that doesn't work, so I'll leave you to it.

Thats what happens when I have my thread locked for posting the same kind of content that others do. I exspect to be treated fairly.

You can take it to the mods if you think you have a case. Throwing a hissy fit on the video forum is probably the last thing helping your case.

Want proof ?I'll start banging out PM's from them and other Mod threads.
I may get a vacation or banned but, I will at least get my pont across, I hope.

Maybe you should just go.

Just like your super moderator tile?

Totally freaking worthless IMHO.

Instead of worrying about Nvidia or you mod title, you should just speak your f*cking mind and stop dancing around the truth.

My thread should not have been locked, and if it was , so should have the other one in question here.

Now grow a set and tell me what you really think.

Am I missing something?
The Techspot benchmarks show all the cards lining up pretty much as you would expect, so there's no inherent problem with AMD cards in it at all...

Crossfire not scaling/being broken because the profile doesn't exist isn't the same as all NV cards having a serious performance problem (serious in the terms that it significantly reduces performance from where it should be, and some people deem it unplayable).

I wouldn't call 40+ fps on a 6790/460 at 1920x1200 unplayable.

It is a valid problem (not scaling being a big reason that multi GPU setups aren't always ideal), but it's not really the same as the Dragon Age 2 issue...?
