So my cordless drill (LION battery) sat for quite awhile, and the battery was dead. I plugged it into the charger and it indicated call customer service. Was talking to a friend of mine, and introduced me to the re-animation of LION batteries. Apperently the charger needs to detect a little power to start charging. He then enlightened me to the hack of bringing these back to life!
I used this method with an old cell phone charger https://www.enegitech.com/blogs/tips/how-to-revive-a-lithium-ion-dead-battery-from-power-tools
After creating an initial charge (5 minutes or so) I put the battery on the charger and it started charging!
Do you guys know about this hack? There are several ways to do it, with dozens of walk throughs on youtube.
