Bring me into 2005 - I've missed out on the last 8 months

I've been in asscrackistan for 7+ months, and coming home in roughly a month. Anyways, I have some SERIOUS catching up to do when I do get home.

I've already purchased Halflife 2, Doom 3, Halo 2..

I plan on picking up WoW, and an athlon 64 3500+ and new mobo, as well as a dvd burner. Should catch my pc up.

I know that I'll need gran turismo 4 as well.

I'm totally lost on movies. I know I gotta see Ray and meet the fockers, but I havn't even kept track of anything else thats come out since July of last year.

For music I've purchased the new eminem cd, and thats it! No clue what else is new.

😀 Congrats on coming home and thank you for your sacrafices (I know you've got to hear this all the time, but I'm going to say it again 😛 )

Did you miss Napolean Dynamite? If you like south park - Team America? Music - I don't know 😛

WB. You haven't missed too much really. Go check out the movie "Constantine" though. While you're getting that athlon 64, do yourself another favor and purchase an ati x800XL video card as well.

What is there to do in Afghanistan?

Where I'm at, not much. If you have a laptop or can borrow one, you can get online. My xbox blew up a month ago, and I only had a few games anyways since shipping takes from 3 weeks to 3 months, and theres only like 3 games that you can buy over here. We got a 53" big screen but the sattelite box blew out the next day and we're not allowed to hook up dvd players to it. I read a whole lot and go online in my downtime.

At some bases there are pool tables/ ping pong tables and rooms with tvs and xbox's and ps2's. Not here though. Theres also usually big call centers with lots of phones to call home. Where I'm at theres 1 phone and a list to get on it.
