If everyone on-board is asleep, terrorist attack will be far less likely. Also in the case of a crash, no one would even notice it.

I prefer the "make everyone fly nekkid" idea. Of course, the luggage would all have to be on another plane, and robes and slippers would be required before the meals are served.....
Never said it was fool proof......

Put you to sleep how? Anesthetic has something like a .3% mortality rate. Multiply that by the number of people who fly. Do you really wanna kill that many people per year?

But then you'd have to match for people with wires hanging out of their ass.

Why not just let the terrorists do that? You sure find expensive ways to do things that others are perfectly willing to do for you.

If it wasn't for that 0.3% mortality rate, I'd be for this. What better way to pass the time on those horrid 8-10hr transatlantic flights? I haven't been on a transpacific one, but I can only imagine the horror those poor people go through.

Even if the mortality rate were nil, how do you go about waking all the passengers in the event they need to take some sort of immediate action (such as getting into crash position)? What do you do about urination and defication? Make sure each passenger has a bed pan beneath them before knocking them out? How do you prevent a passenger, for whom the anesthetic wears off early or is slow to react, from taking advantage of the other unconscious passengers? Will each passenger be locked into their seats or perhaps even in separate compartments?

that actually isn't that bad of an idea except that A) putting people to sleep has considerable health risks and can cause death every now and then, and B) no way in hell i'd trust airline personel with my body!

Statistically, they deserve it.

This was a Stephen King made for TV movie? I read the short story but forget the name. Sumin like the Fog?

Anyway, you decrease the amount of oxygen in the cabin and put everyone to sleep. The pilots in there locked cock-pit get oxygen.
