For those in the Tampa, FL area interested in comparing the channel line-up for BrightHouse Networks and Dish Networks, I have compiled the following spreadsheet:

Spreadsheet Link

I originally compiled this to see if I can haggle with BrightHouse to lower my monthly bill. The spreadsheet includes the channel listing and the estimated price per month without any promotions. It also includes all the premium movie channels and HD DVR service.

Maybe someone may find this spreadsheet helpful. It seems like that I can't use this to my advantage to lower my monthly payments with BrightHouse.

I called Brighthouse up the other day (granted, their phone system here in Manatee County has been CRAP lately and it took me a few days to get through) and they had some promotion where now i get the 10mb down/1mb up internet, an HD 8300 DVR, and basically every channel except the premium movies for $95/mo including tax. Its some new promotion apparently and is good for a year, i was previously paying $130 for the same thing.

Also, i may be mistaken, but down here in Sarasota/Bradenton, i see lots of dishnetwork houses with 2 dishes, i wonder if you have to have 2 to get all the locals...

Holy cow! I have to get in on this promotion. With RoadRunner and Digital Cable (no HD or premium channels), I'm paying $103 a month. Tsk.
