Bridging Two Wireless Routers

I have a Netgear WNR834Bv2 and a Linksys WRT54G (running dd-wrt). The Netgear router is my primary router and I am trying to get the Linksys router to connect to it so I can use my 360 and other devices in another room which don't have wireless. I have no idea how to configure either router to allow the bridge to exist. Please help.

1. Change the IP of the Linksys to 192.168.1.2 Save
2. Go to the Wireless Tab and pick Client Bridge for the Wireless mode Save
3. For the SSID, type your Netgear router's SSID exactly. Save
4. Go to Wireless Security and input your exact security mode, algorithm, and key. Save
5. Cycle power and you should be good to go.

Tried both. Didn't work. I was able to do it before but it would join an open wireless connection but it wouldn't join my secured router.

Check your SSID and password. Switching to WPA might help.

I run a WRT54G bridged to another WRT54G across the street. It works great for me, though I do only have WPA.

The directions that Jayp146 posted above should be all you need. What version of DD-WRT are you running on the linksys? I have two WRT54G routers (a v6 and a v7) both running the newest version of DD-WRT available for the routers (as of like a week ago). Both run client/bridge mode using WPA2 with AES with no issues (main router is a Netgear WNDR3700)

Make sure that the IP you assign the linksys isn't in the DNS range of the netgear.

Yeah I just moved my modem/router to the home theater so I can hook everything up that needs to be hooked up through ethernet (all components in home theater) and now everything works considering everything else is wireless.
