I was wondering, can I use artic silver to bridge the L1's as opposed to silver lacquer??? I actually have artic silver, and I don't even know where I could find silver lacquer in this crappy redneck town my school is in...thanks!

Arctic silver is designed to NOT conduct electricity. The whole point of brigding it is to conduct electricity to each little dot. I actually just unlocked my XP1600 yesterday. I bought a kit for $16 from highspeedpc.com which has all the stuff and magnifying glass. Looking back i think i maybe could have gotten by without the kit and just used some household, but my only advide to you is USE A MAGNIFYING GLASS. It would have been impossible to do it without one. But good luck on it and it isnt as hard as it sounds just to let you know. It took me like 30-40 min and i must have started over at least 5 time to make sure i got it completely right. Also take your time, if you have any doubts, just start over. The kit is very conveniant but not completely necessary, but if you have $16 to blow then i would recomend getting it.
