Variations of this have probably been asked a bazillion times but I'm having trouble finding any dumbed-down guidelines that work for my exact situation.

I tried following this guide written for DD-WRT, but couldn't quite get it to work since I couldn't find those same options in my stock firmware(s):
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Bridged

Both of my routers are running stock firmware and I'd like to use the WNDR3700, which I've hard reset, as a wireless bridge client located in my entertainment center to connect a directv hdr, ps3, and Yamaha tuner to it via cables. The ASUS is in my office, maybe 30 ft away.

I'd prefer to connect via 5GHz N since I assume that will provide the best throughput.

Following the guide linked above, I hard reset the Netgear and hooked up a laptop while leaving my ASUS connected normally to my desktop so I could access the UI of both at the same time. No matter what settings I changed, I could not get the Netgear to find the internet through the bridged connection (couldn't even really confirm that it was bridged, except that each seemed to find the MAC address of the other).

Any thoughts/tips appreciated...
