So I decide to try out the lesser of two evils, a bundle package from Comcast instead of ATT. This option is also less expensive.

So I end up at a website, www.comcastspecial.com. The have a Triple Play package for $90/month. I read the fine print, there are some hoops to jump through to get the rebates and monthly bill credit, sure, whatever.

So a rep comes up through online chat and the first question I ask is since I already have Comcast standard cable, do I qualify for the Triple Play... they say yes, of course.

So I order the services, then I get a message saying I don't qualify after all. Then I get an email saying my credit card did not go through.

So I say, screw it, not worth the hassle, I'll pay more for ATT Uverse. Several days later I get a wireless router delivered via UPS. I check my cc statement and there's a $70+ charge from OfferWire. I call Comcast and they say they have no trace of an order. I call OfferWire, and they absolutely refuse to pick up the wireless router they sent me, claiming I placed the order online and it's out of their hands. They say I can pay to send it back, and I can get a refund minus $15 shipping and handling.

And if they want their router back, it'll be sitting on my front porch waiting for UPS to pick it up. I submitted an inquiry w/ my cc, and hopefully this can get resolved peacefully?

Cliffs:

- told I qualify for Triple Play, order it, afterwards told do not qualify and cc did not go through
- receive wireless router via UPS
- check cc bill, charged $70
- offerwire will accept back router, but will not refund $15 s/h, and I have to pay to ship back
- submitted inquiry w/ cc company
