Bridged connections and my Router

Ok, so I have been trying to use a VMware linux box running on my system to try to tunnel WoW traffic through to the main server. The issue I have however, is that my system is set up such that my modem is also a router.

Now, VMware bridges the connection between its internal simulated ethernet and my physical connector. However, it has a slightly different IP which my router recognizes. However, I am unable to send traffic through it, presumably because the router has no physical link to that new IP.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Update: Turns out, it was my firewall. While I gave all the associated networks access to each other through the host system with the firewall, the firewall itself blocked any and all gateway action which was causing the issue. Just FYI if anyone else happens to run into this issue 🙂
