I had high expectations after seeing the reviews.

Overall it sucked. There were some funny jokes and bits. But mostly it was dull.
And the main character being a total crazy loser bitch to everyone for almost the entire film and then still ending up being liked and getting a really nice guy at the end was just annoying. I wanted her to DIAF while everyone else pointed at her and laughed like she deserved.

Watched it last night with my wife and in-laws. Wife and I both liked it, mother in law liked it (although she didn't like all the cussing) and my father in law went to sleep halfway through.

It was a good comedy... I wasn't expecting Schindler's List quality.

If they didn't like the cussing, the bonking scene in the beginning must have been really uncomfortable :D

I can't stand that blond woman from SNL that played the lead. She makes my skin crawl for some reason, so I gave it a

you guys seriously thought this movie was funny? i loved hangover, and this is nowhere even near that funny.

in fact every scene was completely cringeworthy to me. the main characters pissed me off and I didn't sympathize with any of them. for one, the main character reflects the worst type of woman in america. everything was so forced, like the scene at the engagement party where the maid of honor was giving a speech and then got upstaged, an so on. I seriously wanted to stop the movie half way in. The airplane scene also just made me roll my eyes on how dumb it was.

everyone i watched it with was wondering the same thing, why was this movie rated so high on RT??

Wait a minute, how can you love The Hangover, and hate this? It was the same, stereotypical behavior, only this time the behavior was from women instead of men.

They almost the exact same formula. Stupid, gross-out humor with a bit of romance/relational stuff thrown in.

I seriously think that many of you guys want to bash this film simply because you see it as a "chick flick"

Yeah, I wanted to curl up and die during the first few minutes of the film :)

i think it was the fact that the main character was a self hating POS who was a selfish, total dick the entire movie to everyone, and then she ended up with the good dude, wtf? she didnt deserve anything IMO. i wanted her to get killed the entire movie. every interaction was so forced and dumb too.

I'm not really sure how to explain it, but a tiger in the hotel room (hangover) was somehow much more hilarious and felt more "real" than any situation that happened in this film, lol.

wtf. I guess you're allowed to have your own shitty opinion

Hangover II was alright, but it was the EXACT same movie as the first... even with the "reviewing the pictures on the camera" scene at the end of the movie.

i thought this was a chick flick also and avoided it until i read thru this thread, i also thought it was pretty good, definitely not a "chick flick."

the part that had me in tears was after the Brazilian food when they were trying on dresses and that fat chick had to shit in the sink ROFLLLLLL

I went into it after already reading that it wasn't a chick flick, so I was not going in with that bias...and I still hated it (as did my girlfriend, who likes both chick flicks AND movies like the Hangover).

It was boring, the jokes weren't funny, and the characters were not likeable at all, in any way. Seriously...no positives about this movie to me, I really don't understand why so many people loved it.

I went with my wife and thought it was hilarious...especially the dress fitting scene after the Brazilian food.

Apparently the air marshal and the fat chick are married IRL.

i think i posted something in the movie thread but to summarize my opinion:

subpar romcom with like, 2 scenes of grossout humor (funny at least) that seem to be the only things people remember

My wife and I really enjoyed this one.

I liked the actor who plays Don Draper in Mad Men character a lot. He was the a$$hole f|_|ck buddy who was not really funny but just looked the part down to a T.

The first half was good, but then the second half devolved into a typical romantic comedy.

I thought it was too forced also, overdone, and didn't really like it at first. However, after watching it a second time, those forced scenes actually made sense, because I knew who the characters were. The movies does a pretty good job making you feel the awkwardness of the situations.
