Brian Fargo plans to retire 2019

I'm sure most of you have seen the article that Brian Fargo plans to retire after the release of wasteland 3 (no clue what happens if wasteland 3 is delayed 🙂 ); comments ?

Should be no impact as Bards Tale 4 comes before Wasteland 3.

Does it? For some reason I thought W3 had started ahead of BT4. That sorts that out, ha.

Nope. BTIV Kickstarter was in 2015. In fact, the game is projected to be released in October 2017 (doubt we'll see that!). WL3 was last fall (I just got an email yesterday from Fig telling me they're now accepting investment dollars as the project is now registered with the SEC...so I guess now that the money is rolling in, they'll open the Detroit office and really start working on it).

The one thing that is encouraging (to me anyway) about this announcement is this: Brian seems like a guy that wants to go out on top. Maybe there will be extra drive to make BTIV and WL3 epic games.

I don't ever recall hearing about one of these guys retiring...

Did tear his ACL, loose his competitive mojo or something?

He finally realized his games suck and that he should have went into the toilet seat construction business like his mother wanted.

Well I guess some folks like this games and some don't. Personally I think they are decent and more so they give excellent support after the fact.
