So I started brewing my own beer...did an American Pale Ale (not too shabby for my first one) tastes good.

Went on to my second batch, got the idea to do a wheat ale, which is bottled and aging as of last night, came out really..really well!

And on to my third creation...a PumpKin Ale! The wife loves Pumpkin Ale so figured i would give it a try...

Tried something different today when making this one calling it "Charter Pumpkin Ale" since Charter is the street name where I live, i figured that would be a good start for a new name...I need better names for these beers by the way...suggestions taken!

Extra ingredients:

1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 Cup of brown sugar
8 oz of organic pumpkin

Boiled all together with the yeast and wort...then created a hops sack to leave in the fermentation keg while it brews, which was: 1/8 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 8 oz of pumpkin all mixed together.

Hopefully this one comes out well, wont know for three weeks or more!

The Great Pumpkin?
Squash squash (say that three times fast)
Jack-O-Lantern Juice?

Here's a tip, you have to replace the rubber grommets on resealable bottles every two batches or so.

Glad to see another homebrewer!

Thanks! I am pretty excited, ordered some more base materials to make a couple of red ale's one of them will be a malty red one...the other one is abronze/red with some caramel to it...

After that it will be on to the blueberry ale, that one i am going to do from a kit to see if i like it.
If so, then I am going to take my bavarian style wheat ale and make my own blueberry ale..
