why is his name pronounced 'farve' ?

the only thing i can think of, is that his whole life his name was mispronounced... and eventually he just got tired of correcting everyone and just changed it to farve.

I have no idea! When I first watched him play I thought his name was pronounced "Fav-ra".

I don't have an NFL football "team." I don't know enough about the sport or the players to even care. And I really DON'T care. Now if it were basketball, that's a different story.

i remember back in the day when favre began to hit it big in the nfl... ray handley was the coach of the ny giants and he was all busting on his name. ray handley sux anyway so.... hehe
