ABC News Nightline had a clip last night. The current champion, Hooters, is feeling the heat from the newcomers such as Twin Peaks, Tilted Kilt, and others.

I had been to Hooters twice and was not impressed. Food was so so, the girls were meh (a few were cute) and not friendly. Haven't been back since and I am not the only one. Hooters closed over 30 places in the last few years.

What say you, ATOTers? Which one do you like and do you think these "breastaurants" will be just a fad or the real deal?

Here I was thinking this was going to be about restaurants that DON'T get all uppity when a mother decides to nurse her baby in plain view of other patrons.

Regarding the restaurants being covered here? Yeah... crap food, mostly crap service, and even crappier patrons. The only thing they have going for them is beer and boobs. (In before the "I fail to see the problem" comments...)

The girls are MUCH nicer if they know you as a regular but the food will always suck.
I am at the point where I go straight to the bar and get free soda for half an hour, then leave a dollar tip.
No one ever complains.

(I have never been to the Tilted Kilt or any others)

I was so unimpressed with Hooters I've only been once. Food sucked, girls not very hot.

All the others are copying a formula that isn't that successful.Hooters almost went broke a few years ago and had to become more family friendly.

There's been Vietnamese cafe's popping up around here where the waitresses are basically in lingerie.

Google it yourself. :p

You can't get good food and good strippers in the same place. Any place with good food doesn't need skanky waitresses to sell it. And any place that tries to half-ass the stripper part will probably half-ass the food too. Hooters sure did. If you have to ogle women and eat, break them into two separate activities. Eat at a good restaurant and ogle somewhere else.

I haven't been to Twin Peaks.

Tilted Kilt food > Hooter's food
Tilted Kilt women > Hooter's women

It's not even close in either category

Because that's called abandonment, neglect or abuse in most states to leave a baby unattended at home while you go out for a bite to eat with your spouse, dumbass.

I never said abandoned your kids but they have things called babysitters so no reason to ruin the night out for everyone else with a crying baby as you decided to have a kid so take up the responsibility.

Plus we go to said places to stare at boobs because of how fun they are not to see what they are meant to be used for and taking your baby to these kinds of places is not a good thing. ;)

You used 'in before'...which isn't as bad as 'inb4', but pretty much just as bad. Please...it insults your intelligence.

Don't have any of those here except Hooters. Tilted Kilt looks slutty in a "classier" way than Hooters.

Here, we have unofficial titty restaurants. They're chains called Moxies and Jack Astor's. I have not been to the former, but rumour has it that they only hire amateur models -- whatever that means. Jack Astor's keeps skirts very short, minimal action up top.

I agree. It's exploitative of men. All the suckers are getting played by some tits, and overpaying for shit food, and probably overpaying for tips. Tits are skilless, and can be bought by anyone with a few extra dollars in the bank. I'm not paying for that.

i've been to hooters a couple of times, generally not by choice, and the food was pretty crappy. wings were very underwhelming.

Babysitters' boobs generally don't make breast milk tailored for someone else's baby.

Plus I never one insinuated taking myself, let alone a child to one of these crappy hooters-like places. Been there a few times with co-workers, and about the only entertaining thing about said venues was how idiotic my co-workers would get even before they touched a single beer.

My point? Wouldn't it be nice if there were restaurants where parents with small children were WELCOMED? That non-sympathetic asshats like you basically know to stay away from? Being a parent, methinks yes. Then EVERYBODY can be happy.

I'm not seeing the upside of having a boner when I'm digging into some fried food.

So you never heard of babysitters to begin with as you assumed the kid would have to be abandoned and now you never heard of bottles.

You talked about bringing your kids out while everyone else talked about these places so it was implied.

As for the restaurants that welcome kids there are but no one was talking about those here.
