The cup size (a, b, c, d, dd, etc.) is just that-- the size of the cup in the bra. The measurement (30, 32, 34) is the area around the woman's chest (think of it as the circumference of the bra, basically).

with measurements like 34b, 36c, etc., then yes...it's in inches. I've seen them in centimeters as well, though. But as you might guess, those numbers tend to be a bit larger.

Get a tape measure and some privacy depending on how much of an exhibitionist you are. Without any clothes on your top half, including a bra, measure yourself in inches around the ribcage below your bust, making sure the tape measure doesn't slide down at the back. Then measure yourself in inches around the fullest part of your breasts, usually over the nipples. The tape measure should be loose. Add five onto the first measurement (around the ribcage only) to get your bra size. If the number is an odd number, round it up to the next even number. For instance if the first measurement is 26, adding five gives 31 so round the number up to 32 to give the bra size. To work out the cup size use the difference between the measurement around your breasts and the bra size and check against the chart below.
Difference Cup Size
Same size A
Up to one inch B
Up to two inches C
Up to three inches D
Up to four inches DD
Up to five inches E
Up to six inches F
Up to seven inches FF
Up to eight inches G

For instance, if in the previous example the measurement around the fullest part of the breast was 35 inches, then 35 ? 32 (bra size) = 3 giving a cup size of D, therefore this woman would need to buy bras that were size 32D.

This is a guideline only, the best way to check your size is to try some different bras on and see which feel most comfortable and give you enough support.

Aight, thanks. That's all i needed.

The cup size is the diference of the chest measurement with the boobs included, and the boobs not included.

For example, a girl might measure 36" around her chest if you measured the boobs. She might only measure 33" if you measured directly underneath the boobs.

You find the secret bra formulas sheet, and if gives you directions what to do with those 2 numbers to get the cup size.

Its something like:

Age - 5.69 + smaller measurement x 3.0234 - larger measurement + IQ - age in dog years = cup size.

The number represents the number of inches around the womans chest is. If I recall correctly, the letter represents the difference between measuring around the breast, and again above the breast. If there is a 1" difference she is an A-cup, 2" is B-Cup and so on and so forth.

I'm pretty sure I'm wrong though.

One of my friends was a 30D when she was 14.. She's something like a 38DD now because she had a kid recently. Her boobs were impossible so I refused to believe in them. But when she was 14, I went to the mall with her once.. God damn.. I felt bad for her. Everyone was staring.

there is a website out there, that, ummm, shows you what the different sizes look like. it's a sexual/medical health website. afraidtoask.com. be warned though, there is nudity, nsfw, but it is an educational type of website, i guess. if the name of the address is too much info, mods please edit/delete it.

Yeah, I knew a girl like that in h.s. too, girl couldn't have been taller than 5', but she had HUGE breasts, completely out of proportion to her body. It was only a few years after that I really realized how horrible that must have been for her for three or four years, with so many people staring and a whole legion of guys making comments. She had a breast reduction the summer after her sophomore year of high school, and afaik she was a little better after that.

It's not always a good thing to be so gifted.
