Hi guys. A good family friend of ours is taking the amazing, dedicated step in participating in a 3-day Walk-a-thon for breast cancer research. Here's the 3-day in Dallas link.
Summary of the walk:
This walk is the greatest distance a few individuals as teams can go in the fight against breast cancer.
On June 10-12, 2005, thousands of women and men will unite for three days and walk 60 miles through the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in a bold display of courage and commitment. It's a weekend of hope, as we honor lives lost, celebrate survivors, promote breast cancer research, and help bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it.
Net proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3-Days benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to fund breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs, as well as the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.
I won't post donation information here. If you would like to donate, you can PM me and I will give you a link to the team page for our family friend participating in this. If you would like to donate to any other team, there is a link on the 3day webpage to all the teams. Any interest, donation, or prayer from the AT community is very welcomed.
Thanks one and all and keep all the survivors, patients, walkers, and their families in your prayers.
