No President has had control over this for a long time. Unless, of course, they WANT to start a war...in which case there is no problem getting that to happen even without going through the proper channels. :\

Damn, just the mention of MOPP caused me to have that 'ol awful feeling of impending doom come sweeping over me. Hunkering down in a dimly lit bunker and listening to the scud warning sirens, sweating a gallon a minute and having the exhaust flapper in my mask make that popping sound every time I exhaled because the sweat was making it stick....wondering if that missile was gonna land right in my lap. Yeah, fond memories.

We are trying to balance the budget and the president wants to take over the world for muslims. Is the President an idiot or a warmonger, is he just a facist Muslim Dictator? If a republican did this there would be an antiwar demonstration and chaos in the news. Why is it OK if a Liberal Facist is a war-monger?
