breaking up a file for floppy

i need to copy a 2 meg exe onto a couple of floppies for someone. does anyone know how this can be done or if a 3rd party utility is needed? thanks.

use winzip to zip it to a floppy. It will prompt you to put in a new floppy when it's neede.

I may be wrong about this but I remember trying to span a 5 meg file over floppies and WinZip 8.0 trial version wouldn't let me do it for some reason. I then cracked it and it worked after that. Something to think about if you try WinZip.

You can use Filesplit, just go to download.com and search for "filesplit".

It's a very small installer and it allow you to customize the file size you want split to.

I have a little program that makes a chainsaw sound when you drop a file in it. It cuts it any size you want and gives a bat file to put it back together.

I use a small 274kb freeware program - splitit95

The joining part of this program can be run from DOS from a 39kb program.
