Breaking the ice...

Are there any good websites out there that teach you how to build a computer? I am mainly looking for something that teaches me what component has to be compatible with the motherboard and how etc. or someone could just type it up, but i doubt n e of you would do that...

Thanks

mechbgon's post <--- check out his guide, very helpful in building.
As for parts... you've got AMD and Intel Processors. I would suggest going AMD since they are kicking ass in every which way. You'll need a mobo that supports whichever processor you choose (it should be obvious from the way the mobo is labeled). You'll also need RAM. For fast ram, look to OCZ. For cheap ram look to corsair. Your mobo should list RAM it supports (go to your mobo's website and download their manual). Make sure your mobo has PCI-Express so vid card compatibility is practically a non-issue. Also make sure your mobo has dual-channel support (I think most mobo's nowadays have this). If you get the right mobo, processor, and ram, you should be pretty much set for everything else. hope this helps.
