In my backyard
Thoughts go out to the victims and their families.
Another self loathing male with on idea what he felt. This will go on forever so long as we hide the truth. We point our fingers out there at the collateral damage of our own denial, hating ourself through others. We are all responsible for this.
I used to live near there and went to that mall several times.
You might be, I've got nothing to do with it. Take your loony psycho babble somewhere else.
My wife was out shopping at a different Portland mall while I was taking finals today. I'm so glad they chose clackamas town center rather than the Lloyd center.
The guy's gun jammed? Guess crappy ARs save lives.
No info on who he was yet? Dunno, while curious I really DO NOT want his mug plastered on TV all week, or ever. Don't want to glorify him or his actions.
Look up the meaning of denial.
If the victims were black it sounds like the guy was just standing his ground.
You girls are sure pissed at Spidey for being right about Trayvon and Zimmerman, you bring him up in every thread.
Somewhat alarming to have this happen in your own back yard.. I've eaten in the food court at Clackamas Town Center quite a few times.
Wait, where am I? *looks around*
/slowly backs out of thread
You're sounding kinda suspicious there, son. Who authorized you to be in here, and who said you could challenge me? I'm feeling kinda threatened here. Might just have to "stand my ground" on you to put a stop to this. I'm glad I have lots of guns to make me a big man with the power to end you to my satisfaction.
Neighborhood watch, here I come!
Really? Three innocent people are dead and that post is what comes to your mind?
I don't make the rules of conservatism, I just report on them.
He's right Moonbeam, that was stupid. I went through plenty of unpleasant stuff as a kid at the hands of other people but that doesn't mean I have a right to blame them for, or to actually participate in, doing something like this. Each of us has a personal responsibility to find a way to cope with any negative experiences we may have had in our lives and turn it into a positive as we grow up. This person failed to realize that for any number of reasons, unfortunately.
I certainly feel for the victims and their families in the wake of this senseless act, and hope they can find the serenity to move forward and find their peace and happiness again.
Apparently no amount of right to carry laws seem to be effective in actually stopping crazed gunman.
Sadly none of our AT P&N gun afficionados were in the mall to stop this guy.
Maybe we need must carry laws that require everyone to actually have the gun in their hand whenever they leave their home.
I know in Washington there's 340000 cpl issued. Population of our state is 6.8 million. Not everyone carries full time out of those cpl's. Say half do...that's only 170k people. Odds aren't that great that'd you would have someone carrying around at all times. Even if everyone did that's still not great odds.
And even if you carry why should you be expected to put yourself in harm's way if you are already safe?
hug your kids tonight people. that could have been any one of us in that mall.
Excellent idea. Less than 3% of the population is licensed to carry now.
And do it with typical lib stupidity, crassness, and, hatred, and stupidity. Shows how little you really care about the loss of human life.
Maybe if we didn't have 40+ years of liberal hate spewed in schools, there wouldn't be so much self loathing.
Yes that must be it! There are other, far more liberal countries than the USA, but they dont have a gun rampage every other month. Maybe it has more to do with how violence is totally condoned in film & literature but show one nipple & its a rated R movie. I still remember how the last UFC fight had Fox cutting off the fight everytime the fighter throw up his middle finger, but they could beat the crap out of each other with blood flying everywhere no probs. Its totally absurd.
Unnecessary post techs. Even if I had a gun in that place I would not have taken a shot with what is estimated as over 10,000 shoppers in the line of fire.
