Three naturalized U.S. citizens will be indicted in Ohio Tuesday for their role in assisting terrorism on U.S. targets overseas, specifically American military personnel in Iraq, FOX News has confirmed.

The indictment, which was unsealed Monday, said the men plotted to kill U.S. and coalition military personnel in Iraq and other countries. On at least two separate occasions, among other charges, at least one of the men verbally threatened to kill or inflict bodily harm on President Bush, the indictment says.

Attorney General Albert Gonzales will announce the five-count indictment during a press conference at 1:30 PM EST.

The three men were arrested over the weekend and are currently in custody, said Assistant U.S. Attorney David Bauer in Toledo. They were to be arraigned in federal courts in Cleveland and Toledo on Tuesday afternoon

The charges outlined in the five-count indictment include: conspiracy to kill, kidnap, maim, or injure people outside of the United States; conspiring to provide material support to terrorists, distributing information regarding explosives and making threats against the president of the United States.

The indictment says that from at least as early as November 2004 until the present, in the the defendants and others got together in Ohio to hatch a plan to kill people, including U.S. military personnel serving in Iraq. It says the men knowingly provided material support for this terror mission

Interesting that Fox got the story so far ahead of everyone else.
The timing is also interesting. Wonder if they were arrested now to try and head off criticism of the Bush illegal wiretapping?
Seems like a tailor made case to support it. At least until details are known (if EVER) how they were caught.

Toledo has been in the news a lot, just the other day the US Treasurey shut down a "charity" there for sending money to Hamas.

Then there were last years riots.

I have been predicting for a long time that all that BS about fighting them over there.. is just going to bring them HERE

Oh come on... you're just pissed that you might not be able to say that the wiretapping has caught "exactly zero" terrorists. 😛

Betchya a dollar that it comes out in a couple weeks that the ILLEGAL wiretapping had nothing to do with this.

I'm willing to bet they did something really stupid and got caught.

You mean KEEPING them here. One of them tried, unsuccessfully, to get into Iraq, after leaving the US, then returned.

Amawi traveled to Jordan in October 2003 and returned to the United States in March 2004 after an unsuccessful attempt to enter Iraq and wage jihad, the charges state.

Last time there was a federal execution it was death by Hanging. That might just be for military personnel. So do we classiftythese people as enemy combatants and have a military trial or what? Technically they are guilty of being a traitor if they are US Citizens. This may be easier to just classify them as being guilty of espianage. They could be given a 10 to life conviction and then deported when they are released.

Send them to Leavenworth, KS or what?

We should probably just promote them to politicans.. 😉 they all care about the same amount for the military personnel ..

Lets see, Tim McVey - Lethal Injection in 2001 -just a few years back

The Rosenbergs got the Electric Chair in the 1953

Last hanging was Victor Feguer by Iowa, in 1963

So, let me get this straight, all those oppossed to the Bush administration point fingers because no one ever gets arrested. Then when they do bust someone...well then it was just a dog and pony show, because, well absolutely no one that gets arrested for such actions actually planned anything. They were set up and this is just all done to further some great Republican conspiracy agenda.

(pssst...it's all done for the oil and to gain votes)

no wheezer...it's because of the dog and pony show that Asscroft put on with "America's heartland has been saved", when the guy had been in custody for months.....

From what I understand, one of the reasons they were caught was because good Muslims in the US alerted authorities about them. So, here's a  to the good Muslims living here with us. Thanks for watching our backs.
