breaking into a car using a coat hanger.....

my friend locked his keys into his car, its a 85 corrola. we dont want to break the windows or call some fool to open the car... so im posting here, 70k+ member.. 1 has to know how!

Well, i seem to lock myself out a lot(seems like i don't learn my lesson). the first time i had to call a locksmith and i watched how he opened it. i've been doing it every time now.

First find a piece of rock or any other thin piece of metal or something. It has to be about half an inch or so. then try to pull the door open from the top, and slowly insert the rock into the open gap so that it holds the door open for you. the wider you can pull the door open, the easier. From then on just insert the hanger in the gap, and try to get the hanger to open the latch.

It takes a lot of patience though. it also depends on what type of lock ( my car doesn't have the one that you push down to lock.

And finally, please don't do this for illegal purpose. thank you

Make the hanger straight with a bent letter U at the end, slide it between the window and the moulding. Hook the lock and pull it up.
Or call a tow truck company.
Or wave a cop down.

Those plastic strips around newspaper bundles work better than coat hangers. Just loopit and do the same as you would with the hanger. Watching the AA guys open doors with this stuff is scary, they can be in almost any car in 30 secs

Old American cars are very easy to jimmy. Their locks usually open upwards. Japanese cars often open sideways. If you remember which way the door locks then you should use the hanger and pull in that direction.
