The two subjects seem to move at different speeds and any good info on ITX is drowned out by the noise such as 'whats the best gaming laptop'.

Now mITX and uATX scene is gaining steam and the main page is seeing more and more SFF articles its perhaps time for its own subforum - certainly its hard to post a timely discussion on SFF as it is.

Thanks for considering it.

There's not a ton of traffic for SFF PCs, but this still isn't a bad suggestion. I suspect a dedicated laptop forum could pull plenty of traffic on its own, which is enough to justify splitting the forums.

At this point, would it make sense to move SFF to the HTPC forum?

No since SFF gaming builds are on the rise. But most people tend to post that in GH.

I propose we get rid of SFF in general since its confusing for builders and utterly useless for HTPCs.

As long as we're on the subject, should not tablets be lumped with laptops, etc? Are we then talking "Portable Computers?"

SFF should definitely be separate from Notebooks/Ultrabooks. Barebones/Pre-Built eliminated (I think we can live with the one-two thread per year on those lumping into General Hardware).

I wouldn't consider tablets along with notebooks until now, but with Windows 8 coming to tablets, it sure blurs the line. Tablets are definitely becoming less like phones and more like laptops with full-blown OS's. Still think they should have separate forums, but I can see why they could be logically be lumped together.
