So I posted about making my first loaf of bread about a week back here:

Today was my 2nd attempt and it's even better than the first. I changed recipes instead of just substituting whole wheat for the white flour in the original. Also the original recipe was bare bones (water, flour, salt yeast, knead, bake, thats it). This one had a few more ingredients in it. The main difference was that I used 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 white and made sure that the water I used was warmer than the 1st time. There was also a bit of butter, honey and sugar in there. They asked for 1/3 cup honey but I substituted about 1 Tbsp honey + 1Tbsp sugar. Also I added crushed walnuts which wasn't in the recipe. Well it really turned out very well! :awe:

Much lighter than the first one and WAY better than the bread machine loafs!

I have found bread making to be one of the most divine pastimes imaginable. While baking my loaves, I can forget about my sins, and simply concentrate on the wonderful aroma of my creations. I relish the opportunity to wash the blood of innocents off my hands and partake in what many consider to be the Art of the Gods.
