I've been listening to a lot of Brazilian jazz lately on some Shoutcast stations and really love the style and how nice and calming the vocals sound, even though I don't speak a lick of Portuguese.. Does anyone here have some suggestions of any artists I should consider picking up? I'm not really looking for intense jazz, not looking for smooth jazz, just looking for some relaxing lounge music type stuff..

I don't like smooth jazz, but after a trip to Rio and San Paulo, I listen to Bossa Nova once and a while. Smooth voices with a nice little background is nice to relax to.

I don't really know any artists, I just do Pandora or Last.fm

Yep. Pick up the Stan Getz / Joao Gilberto album The Girl from Ipanema. Stan Getz was the american saxophonist who was greatly influential in bringing this style to the states... maybe even credited for helping to invent it - I can't remember exactly - it was like 4 years ago I read his biography.
