Bravo Verizon - no phone service they can come out in 7 days to take a look

And here I thought Comcast was the only one with really crappy time tables to repair things.

... and yet it somehow surprises them when people are dropping their local landline phone service in favor of cell phones and/or VOIP all over the place.

They should be coming to me (as a verizon landline customer) and giving me all sorts of incentives to stay on. They haven't, and I'm probably going to drop the landline shortly.

There are a LOT of lines out. The storm killed a lot of them and trees came down everywhere. You have the wait like everybody else, you are not special so get over yourself.
