This year I believe the Braves will make it at least to the NLCS, because they have the dominant pitching needed (Hudson / Smoltz / Hampton / Thompson (been pitching well)). Past years with Russ Ortiz, and Jaret Wright there were no true dominant aces & they blew up in the playoffs after pitching well in the regular season, don't think that'll happen to Hudson nor Smoltz (big game pitcher). But the Braves do have a problem in closer, Dan Kolb. He might be a liability come playoff time & might blow saves away. Furcal, Giles, Chipper, Andruw, and Estrada are all potential all-stars. Adam Laroche shows good promise. The corner outfield positions are weak, especially Mondesi & I wouldn't be surprised if Braves make a move to replace one, if not both. Ryan Langerhans has been hitting well though in place of Mondesi.
